Commissioner Bonacolta moved to Lehigh Acres with his family at the age of four. Mike grew up in Lehigh Acres, receiving his primary education in the public school system – graduating from Lehigh Senior High in 2007. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University and currently teaches in the Lee County School System.
Mike joined the Board of Commissioners in 2010.
